Jo Brand, 65, has been married to her husband Bernie Bourke, 58, since 1997, with the pair sharing two children together. The Bake Off: Extra Slice host keeps her marriage very private, however commented on her relationship last year due to fans questioning the possibility of a divorce.

Bernie is a psychiatric nurse, who prefers to keep out of the limelight, giving fans lots of room to speculate.

Speaking on the Thanks A Million podcast last year, Jo shared a rare insight into her very private marriage.

She admitted: "I make jokes about my husband and I get people say to me, 'Oh, why don't you just divorce him then?'

"That was a joke. You know, I don't know.

"I think one day I will just have to put a photo of me on Instagram, actually trying to kill him.

"So, yeah. To satisfy all those people that want me to do it."

Jo also previously admitted that she and Bernie had never planned to have their children later in life, it just happened.

Talking to the Daily Record in 2011, Jo said: "Having children is fab.

"They keep me young and make me get up in the morning."

Yet despite her comments, Jo insisted that she "doesn't dislike" the way she looks.

She explained: "I think the thing is, it's a very weird thing that if you're absolutely gorgeous, then you don't really get any sense of how it feels to be desperate.

"Obviously, I'm not saying that happens all the time, but I also think if you're kind of like me, I don't dislike the way that I look. But I know that I'm not pretty.

"I know that I'm not what men go for because I'm not thin and I don't have, like, long flowing locks and lovely eyelashes and all that b******s."

Jo currently presents the Extra Slice Bake Off show alongside Tom Allen with the hosts going into detail each week on the sister show's antics.

On last week's show judge Prue Leith made a shocking revelation that on her wedding night she ate two servings of oysters in preparation for the evening.

Host Jo said: "Prue, your favourite dessert is lemon meringue pie but you didn't choose that as your dessert for your wedding day."

Prue replied: "For my wedding day, I had oysters for my starter and oysters for my main course.

"You know they're an aphrodisiac, oysters?"
