He plays spiritualist Rudolph Steiner in Hilma and his character has a complex relationship with the artist as she tries to gain recognition from him for her work in a male-dominated field.
Additionally, Tom is starring in Dangerous Liaisons, which is loosely based on the 1782 novel Les liaisons dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos and was shot last year.
“There was a famous film in the 90s but this show is really set out to broaden the horizon and telling the story of how the two main characters met when they were young and again it’s all about those human things: power, sex - but it’s a lot of fun,” he said.
Season one will be coming out this month but American television network Starz has already renewed Dangerous Liaisons for a second season and he will be filming on the show in 2023.

Hilma will be released in UK cinemas on 28th October. Early 2023, Hilma will also be available on Viaplay UK, Viaplay’s streaming service set to launch in the UK this autumn
