“What’s fascinating about getting that award is the audience have obviously seen that it’s not a normal romance.
“It’s a woman trying to prop her man up quite literally and figuratively just trying to nurse him back to himself.
“I always think when he had the stroke he’s like an outline and she’s helping him sketch himself back in.”
“I think the audience have seen her commitment to him,” he added.
