Unfortunately, the season concludes on a rather dour note for Janine as she’s muzzled and driven to a mysterious location, so fans will just have to wait and see what fate befalls her when the series returns.
“I think Janine thinks she’s going to be hanged,” Madeline admitted. “That she’s going to the wall. That’s what I would think.”
Hopefully, this isn’t the case, though, as The Handmaid’s Tale fans would hate to see one of their most beloved characters facing execution before the final season has barely begun.
