Love Island viewers have spotted what appears to be a major editing oversight on the ITV2 reality show, following scenes on Tuesday evening in the South African villa.

Eagle-eyes fans noticed a wardrobe mix-up on the show, as the Islanders reflected on another night of drama in the palatial pad’s garden.

In scenes on Tuesday night, Tanya Manhenga was seen heading to bed in a long black dress.

However, the biomedical student then appeared on screens seconds later, asking if the girls had had a good night while wearing a light blue denim jumpsuit.

Tanya was shown in the sleeveless denim jumpsuit again, but she was wearing it in scenes the following night.

Taking to Twitter, one Love Island fan said: "Did anyone notice the editing inconsistencies?

“At the beginning when the girls were getting ready for bed, Tanya was wearing the same denim jumpsuit that she was wearing the next night.

“She was asking the girls if they had had a good night and they all said yes.”

Another tweeted: "Wait, why was Tanya wearing that denim jumpsuit?? Did the producers mess up?"

Someone else chimed in: "Can someone explain why at the end of the night debrief Tanya was wearing a full denim jumpsuit?? Was this clip from a different night???"

A fourth said: "Huh how did Tanya switch from black dress to jeans jumpsuit? Or am I mad?"

And a fifth mused: "Nah why was Tanya talking about drama in the beginning of the episode in a denim jumpsuit and now SHE'S WEARING A DENIM JUMPSUIT - the editing this season."

It comes after Love Island star Sammy James has slammed the bosses, claiming she and the other Casa Amor girls were ‘edited’ to look like ‘mean girls’ in the South African villa.

The Casa Amor bombshell, 27, hit out at producers in an Instagram Q&A after she exited the ITV2 reality show last week amid a dramatic recoupling, presided over by new host Maya Jama.

Sammy was one of the nine Love Island stars axed in the most brutal dumping ever to take place on the show, after the two rival villas merged again.

Sammy has now addressed her time on the show, answering questions from fans on the process, including whether she was surprised by life in the villa.

She revealed: “Omg yes! Just how highly produced and edited the show is. I mean I wasn't naive going in, I'm a switched on girl.

“I knew this was the case but I guess you never fully understand until you see yourself. Unfortunately I can't talk about this until my contract ends after June. Just take everything with a pinch of salt when watching.”

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
