Georgia Harrison revealed she was "silenced for so long" in a promotional clip for her new documentary about becoming the victim of image-based abuse.

The Love Island star will open up about the horrific situation that saw Stephen Bear leak a video of the pair having sex in his garden in 2020 without her consent.

On Monday evening, ITV shared a clip ahead of the release of Harrison's new documentary called Revenge Porn: Georgia vs Bear.

Speaking in the clip, she said: "I was silenced for so long and I literally suffered in ways the public really never got to see. This documentary is about my personal revenge porn story and how this crime is affecting individuals and society in general.

The former Love Island star wants to bring "faith and reassurance" to those who suffered similar experiences ( ITV)

"My hope is that by sharing my story, I can bring some faith and reassurance to those who have suffered from similar experiences. And I also hope to educate the younger generation on the seriousness of this crime and just how devastating it can truly be."

She continued: "I really want to help inspire other victims of revenge porn and let them know that they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of."

Bear was found guilty of voyeurism by a majority verdict and guilty of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress by a unanimous verdict by a jury.

In a victim impact statement she shared in court Georgia, who waived her right to anonymity, spoke of the toll the ordeal had taken on her.

The star said: "Millions of people were watching me and laughing at me and it was completely, utterly out of my control."

She explained that when she first saw the leaked video she felt "so sick", and cried hysterically.

"Even when people weren't talking about it I just couldn't physically be in the room," she said.

As well as having her family and friends knowing of the video, the TV personality said she had to deal with Bear "ridiculing" her on social media, and doing impressions of her crying.

The Love Island star also said she had been dropped from contracts, and brands say they didn't want to be associated with her, due to the leaked video.
