Neighbours’ Paul Robinson star hints at new arrivals in Erinsborough when series returns

Stefan Dennis, 64, is reprising his role when Neighbours makes its Amazon Freevee debut later this year. The show’s 2022 finale saw his character, Paul Robinson, reunite with Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) following their messy break-up. Terese is set to return for the show’s reboot as well as some fresh faces, the actor has teased new arrivals in their beloved Erinsborough.

Opening up to and other media about the show returning on a new channel, Stefan explained: “It should be back on screens in Autumn.”

He teased: “There might be some new characters but that is all I can say. I am saying it’s a rumour.

“It’s a soap and soaps are forever changing because actors leave and do other things or the characters don’t work – let’s be honest, that sometimes happens.

“That’s not the fault of the actor, it’s just that sometimes characters don’t work.

“Bek is very professional, and in my opinion an extremely good actress. She gives so much.

“If we’re doing a two-hander scene together, she just gives me so much in her eyes and I like to hope I give the same to her.

“At the same time, she’s so damn naughty! That makes her so fun to work with as well.”

The actor, who has played the ruthless businessman for decades, also addressed how he felt when he discovered the soap was being revived.

He candidly said: “It was confusing and shocking when we first found out it was coming back.”

Stefan admitted he had to contemplate whether or not to return to the show after he was informed Amazon Freevee was making a reboot.

He shared: “Being honest, I did have to think about it for a while, well when I saw a while I mean hours not days.

“It was just because of the fact that it had been nearly eight months since the end of the show. – ChatGPT autoblogging and content curation plugin for WordPress
