Priscilla Presley is to voice a character based on herself in the upcoming Netflix series Agent Elvis.

The animated adult fantasy drama series sees the King of Rock and Roll moonlight as a spy, with Matthew McConaughey cast as the main character - Elvis Presley himself.

A sneak peek of the production shows off Priscilla's character having the star's sultry voice as she tried to fight off enemies. The cartoon character is also seen kissing the Hound Dog singer.

Before throwing kicks and punches in the clip, Priscilla tells her man: "It's groovy, don't you think?"

The couple are then seen kissing as they are dressed in white.

In the teaser clip, the scene begins by showing Elvis wearing an "Agent King" name tag. He casually walks into a warehouse to see a huge laser beam being worked on, making him ask: "Who are you people, and what is all this?"

He's quickly told: "The chance to weaponise rock 'n' roll. Time for Elvis to become an agent!"

The production boasts a star-studded cast with Don Cheadle, Niecy Nash and Johnny Knoxville all taking up roles.

Netflix's description of the series says: "In this adult animated comedy, Elvis trades his jumpsuit for a jetpack when he joins a secret spy program to stop villains from destroying the world."

It's set to be released on March 17 on the platform.

It follows the hugely successful big-screen biopic of the legendary singer's life last year. The Baz Luhrmann production won a number of accolades thanks to Austin Butler's powerful performance.

Among the gongs was a Golden Globe win for Best Actor for Austin, 32. He called the win "bittersweet" as it came just days after the death of Elvis and Priscilla's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

In his acceptance speech, Austin said: "A moment like this, it feels joyous, but it also feels bittersweet because I just wish Lisa Marie was here to celebrate with us right now.
