Britney Spears, 41, and actor Sam Asghari, 29, will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary in June but some fans have spent much of this year speculating about the pop star’s relationship.
Rumours of a split first started when Sam was pictured without his wedding ring but his representative Brandon Cohen quickly denied the marital issues, explaining that the actor had taken it off as he was filming a movie.
However, fan’s concerns were reignited yesterday as the Toxic singer shared a cryptic post with her 42 million Instagram followers with a picture that read: “In every relationship there’s the person who falls asleep instantly and the other person who lies awake wondering how that’s even possible.”
In her caption, Britney offered no explanation on the quote and didn’t share which of the two she was in her relationship, but instead shared a lengthy update on her day-to-day activities explaining that she’s now making “jewellery, candles and doll clothes for my friend's daughter”.
The pop sensation revealed that she has “started ballet lessons” which she has been struggling with because “keeping my head held high is not always easy if your confidence level isn’t so high”.

Britney added that she’s “not into” yoga and meditation at the moment and has been “sticking to watermelon juice” while avoiding coffee and Red Bull dubbing the latter “the worst drink ever”.
The mum-of-two then reached out to her following in a touching message, sharing: “I’m reposting a lot of footage because it’s good to backtrack when a lot has happened and to look back and realize it makes sense now!!!
“My mind gets busy and sometimes that can be an easy target to mess with,” adding a rolling-eye emoji.
She continued: “I don’t like people in media bullying me and saying hateful things … I’d like to check in on some of my fans!!!
“How are you guys doing??? What’s going on in your lives??? How are you feeling lately??? What activities are you doing these days???” (sic)
For the first time in months, Britney left the comments open on her post, with thousands of fans answering her questions and offering support to the star.
Later on Friday, the singer added another quote to her Instagram page saying: “If you don’t honour your needs, how could anyone else?” but opted to leave comments off for this post.
On Saturday morning, Britney made a rare appearance on her husband’s Instagram page in a very short clip as they posed on a windy hilltop with a large body of water sparkling in the background. He captioned the post: “Hike with my woman.”
However, while Britney’s messages were greeted with thousands of fans offering support, Sam’s clip was also bombarded with accusations that it was “photoshopped”.
One fan blasted: “I guess he had to post a pic with his wife after the comment from yesterday...they are never together...like in the beginning. He has his notoriety now.”
Another declared: “Might be your woman but it sure ain’t Britney.”
