Eamonn Holmes says Holly Willoughby 'won't be back' on This Morning and questions motives

Eamonn Holmes has launched a scathing attack on Holly Willoughby - and insists she "won't be back" on This Morning.

Speaking on GB News, the former ITV presenter told Dan Wooton that Holly should follow Phillip Schofield "close out the door" in an explosive interview.

Having already blasted "toxic" and "delusional" Phillip, who has walked away from ITV, Eamonn then turned his attention to the disgraced presenter's former co-host.

"Not only should Phillip go, but Holly should follow him close out the door," said the disgruntled former This Morning host.

He then shockingly added: "I don't think you'll ever see Holly Willoughby back on the couch."

"There are people that say for her it's not about what Phillip did. Financial experts will say it's about brand protection with her.

"She's got her company and avertising deals which suspiciously looks like she's trying to distance herself from Phillip to protect those."

Eamonn wasn't the only one who turned on Holly, with Kim Woodburn claiming ITV should "get shot" of her from their flagship daytime show.

When Dan claimed Holly is hoping to relaunch This Morning upon her return, Kim scoffed: "Get shot of that little impy wimpy woman, she will not be missed."

Holly released a statement in which she claimed she was "lied" to by her former pal, saying: "When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not"

She added: "It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."

Eamonn's explosive interview comes after he branded Schofield "delusional" in an extraordinary attack on Twitter - warning the disgraced presenter "you picked the wrong man to fight".

Phil took to Instagram to attack unnamed people, claiming they held a "grudge" against him, to which Eamonn took offense.

Hitting back, Eamonn said: "Schofield has just put out a delusional statement. Like Holly he puts it on Insta Stories so if it goes wrong there is no record after 24 hrs.

"I'm reluctant to give the liar any more publicity but believe me Pip if u r looking for a fight, u have picked on the wrong person!".

ITV confirmed it investigated rumours of a relationship between Phillip and an employee in 2020.

An ITV Spokesperson told Express.co.uk on Saturday: "Further to our statement last night, ITV can confirm that when rumours of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an employee of ITV first began to circulate in early 2020 ITV investigated.

"Both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours as did Phillip's then agency YMU.

"In addition, ITV spoke to a number of people who worked on This Morning and were not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour.

"Phillip’s statement yesterday reveals that he lied to people at ITV, from senior management to fellow presenters, to YMU, to the media and to others over this relationship."
