Phillip Schofield 'begged' YouTuber not to post footage with his young This Morning lover

Social media star Jack Jones filmed Phillip Schofield and the younger male sitting together in what appears to be a restaurant in 2015. In the clip, seen by Express.co.uk, Jack kneels next to Phil’s table and sets off a confetti cannon to celebrate reaching one million followers.

Jack then turns to the ex-This Morning host and says: “Hello, Phillip,” to which he replies: “How are you?”

In a new video shared to his 86,000 Twitter followers, Jack now claims that Phillip asked him not to upload the video.

He said: “After I did the video, he begged me not to post it because he said, ‘It could ruin my career’.

“I said, ‘How could it ruin your career?’ and he said he didn’t want to get into it.”

He has now been dropped by his talent agency YMU.

Phil’s co-host of almost 20 years Holly Willoughby has since said that he lied to her about the affair.

She wrote on Instagram: “When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

"It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."

ITV has said that it launched an investigation when rumours of a relationship between Phillip and the young man surfaced in 2020.

A spokesperson for the channel says “both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours”.

It added that the investigation “did not find any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour”.

Following Phillip's departure, Holly has taken an extended half-term break while Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary present This Morning.
