Tottenham issue statement over Son Heung-min racial abuse in Crystal Palace match

Their statement read: "We are aware of a video circulating online (as well as reports made directly to us) regarding an individual in the away end at Spurs yesterday, appearing to make racist gestures towards Heung-Min Son.

"Evidence has been shared with the police, and when he is identified, he will face a club ban. We will not tolerate such behaviour in our club."

Son played the full 90 minutes as Spurs ran out 1-0 winners over Palace, with Harry Kane's effort in first-half stoppage time proving to be enough to earn all three points, as Ryan Mason claimed his first win in his second stint as interim boss.

But the alleged incident involving Son somewhat overshadowed the occasion on Saturday afternoon as Spurs now seek to find the person responsible.
