Manchester United sent scouts to run the rule over Gonzalo Inacio during Sporting Lisbon's match last night, according to reports in Portugal.
The 22-year-old has emerged as a potential target for Erik ten Hag as he looks to strengthen his backline, with Harry Maguire potentially making way.
Inacio is also reportedly wanted by Liverpool, but O Jogo report United have sent their recruitment experts to assess the centre-back.
And it could be that he is the latest Portuguese player to move to Old Trafford, following the footsteps of his ex-team-mate Bruno Fernandes.
