Erling Haaland demand caught on camera as star rubs salt into Man Utd FA Cup defeat

Erling Haaland was caught on camera shouting “one more” to his team-mates after helping Manchester City defeat Manchester United to win the FA Cup final on Saturday. The Citizens held their nerve to get the better of their city rivals 2-1 at Wembley and take one step closer to a famous treble.

City dominated much of the showdown in the capital and took just 12 seconds to go in front as Ilkay Gundogan lashed in a volley from the edge of the box following a knock down from Haaland. Bruno Fernandes equalised from the penalty spot just after the half-hour mark, before the Citizens upped the intensity in the second period.

Pep Guardiola's side rode their luck at times as United pushed forward throughout the second period. But after Gundogan bagged his second goal after the break, they clung on to claim victory.

City secured their fifth Premier League title under Guardiola last month after enjoying a fine run towards the end of the campaign to leap above Arsenal. And the Manchester giants are set to face Inter Milan in the Champions League final next Saturday.

Haaland didn’t get his name on the scoresheet at Wembley as the Red Devils defence kept him quiet for large spells of the match. And following the encounter, the Norway international’s attentions immediately turned to his team’s European showdown as he hugged Gundogan and Bernardo Silva.

“Come on, one more,” exclaimed Haaland as he pumped his fist. And the exchange was caught by BBC cameras.

City are yet to win the Champions League but came close to lifting the trophy in 2021 when they were beaten by Chelsea in the final. And manager Guardiola will now be hoping to finally lay that particular ghost to rest when his side take on their Italian rivals at Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

“Unbelievable,” said City midfielder Jack Grealish after the FA Cup final. “It's stuff you dream of when you're a little kid. I was desperate to win one at [Aston] Villa and now I've done it. The best thing about this team is we have a mix of everything. Everyone is confident, we've got older more experienced lads and the younger lads are learning too.

“We'll have a good night tonight and then straight back at it on Sunday and Monday for a big game next week. I don't win an FA Cup every week so I'm going to enjoy it. Straight back to training and recovery tomorrow. I love this club, the players and the staff.”
