Upon moving to United in 2021, Varane was expected to take the No 4 shirt from Phil Jones.
That didn’t happen, however, with the France international then given the No 19 instead.
However, Varane’s favourite shirt number is No 4 - having worn it for his country in previous years.
And with Jones no longer at the club, a change could take place.
Varane is likely to be vital for United again next season, having struck up a strong partnership with Lisandro Martinez last term.
