Pochettino has confirmed that he introduced himself to Colwill and wished him luck for the U21 Euros final against Spain on Saturday, which England won 1-0 to lift a third title.

And he revealed he expects Colwill and Young Lions team-mate Noni Madueke to join the Chelsea squad for the club's pre-season camp in the United States.

He said: "We spoke yesterday with Levi and Noni. One I know, Noni, from Tottenham, in the U18s. Of course, Levi, I didn't know, but I introduced myself to him. I wished them all the best tomorrow.

"It's true that, for me, it's difficult because it's Spain vs England [in the final]. I wish them all the best. We're waiting for them to be with the team. I think the day we will fly to America, they will join us."
