Fast-forward to now and Dembele is available for nothing, having been released by Lyon at the end of last season.
The 26-year-old struggled last term, scoring just three goals for the club from 28 appearances across all competitions.
However, a poor loan spell at Atletico Madrid aside, Dembele has always produced at the teams he’s been at.
