We’re another day closer towards the start of the new Premier League season and Manchester United remain in a state of flux. Sheikh Jassim is currently battling to buy the club, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe also in the mix. The Glazers are yet to pick a preferred bidder, however, and that’s causing uncertainty at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag seeks reinforcements in this summer’s transfer window.
The Glazers confirmed back in November they were open to selling United, having controversially been in charge ever since 2005.
Fast-forward to now, however, and they’re yet to provide clarity on the situation.
Sheikh Jassim has made five bids for United and is currently considered the frontrunner, with the Qatari billionaire a supporter of the club.
But Ratcliffe can’t be ruled out either, with the INEOS chief confirming earlier in the week that he was still interested.
