Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd 'crucial' talks, two Chelsea deals advance, Arsenal Rice fury

[ WATCH UK TV ]

Following their impressive season, Arsenal have acted quickly in the summer transfer window to welcome several new signings and avoid complacency. Mikel Arteta has already welcomed Kai Havertz to his side from Chelsea, and the Spaniard is now waiting to integrate a further two players into his ranks.

The Gunners are set to sign Jurrien Timber from Ajax in a deal worth approximately £34million, with the Netherlands international capable of providing versatility in defence. Arsenal are also set to announce that they have broken their transfer record to secure the signature of Declan Rice, much to the disappointment of Manchester City.

The England international is set to head to the Emirates Stadium for £105m, though tensions are growing around the deal as it has still not been officially signed off – with West Ham eager to recoup funds from the sale of their captain for their own spending spree. Elsewhere, Chelsea are also now advancing with two transfers of their own, having already conducted a mass clear-out of their fringe players.

Liverpool and Manchester United are also in negotiations to sell some stars of their own, as the transfer window begins to hot up once more after a quiet 10 days. Express Sport keeps you up to date with all the latest…
