Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd’s £100m deal, Chelsea hijack Arsenal, Liverpool to bid £50m

Rice and Timber will follow the former Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz through the door at the Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Arteta adding strength to the inexperienced squad toppled by City last term. Their improvement is likely to have set alarm bells ringing around the grounds of their Premier League rivals, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all keen to make up ground.

Chelsea continue to spend big under Todd Boehly. Mauricio Pochettino has already been gifted Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson. Further arrivals will surely rock up at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks, including a new centre-forward.

Man Utd hope to conclude a move for not only Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, but also a prolific striker. Liverpool's own area of attention is their midfield, with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai already in the building.

The likes of Tottenham, Newcastle and Aston Villa will also be hoping to break into the mix next season, and will no doubt bolster their ranks.
