Chelsea are interested in Portuguese defender Filipe Relvas from Portimonense this summer and could bag a bargain, reports FootMercato. The 23-year-old is versatile and able to play at both left-back and centre-back, with his height and aerial ability being a particular strength.

The report adds that the defender could be available for less than £8.5million, with a host of other European teams also scouting a switch.

Kylian Mbappe transfer boost

Chelsea have been handed a huge boost to their hopes of landing Kylian Mbappe this summer as Carlo Ancelotti appears to have pulled Real Madrid out of the race for the forward. Los Blancos have been touted as the favourites to land the Frenchman over the course of the transfer window, having previously made their interest known.

The Blues have been looking to add a superstar to their ranks under the new ownership, having failed to land Cristiano Ronaldo one-year ago.
