MotoGP: Bagnaia comes second at British Grand Prix

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 6 - Italy's MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia came second at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday to stretch his lead at the top of the standings .
    The Ducati factory rider was beaten to the chequered flag by Spaniard Aleix Espargaró, who overtook him on his Aprilia on the last lap.
    KTM's South African Brad Binder took third place to complete the podium.
    The result enabled Bagnaia, who finished out of the points in Saturday's Sprint Race, to take his tally in the rider's standings up to 214 points and extend his lead to 41.
    Marco Bezzecchi of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, who came second in the Sprint Race, dropped from second to third in the standings with 167 points after he failed to finish on Sunday.
    Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martín moved to second with 173 points by coming sixth at the main event at Silverstone. (ANSA).
