Fati accepts transfer

Barcelona star Ansu Fati has interest from Tottenham and Chelsea with both clubs offered the chance to sign him on loan.

The Blues have since made a move to sign Manchester City starlet Cole Palmer which hints they will not attempt to hijack Spurs' ongoing talks to sign the 20-year-old.

However, Brighton have emerged from nowhere to become frontrunners to sign the Spain international on loan with Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi as a key factor in the deal, as per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Johnson bid deadline

Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson is Tottenham's top target for the final days of the summer transfer window.

Brentford were in the race for the his signature but have since moved on to other targets with Fabrizio Romano revealing Spurs are set to make a decision imminently on Johnson and Fati.

On Twitter, he wrote: Contacts between Tottenham and Barça for Ansu Fati continue. Spurs working on Brennan Johnson deal — waiting for the final decision. Ansu Fati, loan move. Brennan Johnson has to be permanent. Tottenham have to decide in 24h."

Spence loan confirmed

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed defender Djed Spence has joined Championship side Leeds United on a season-long loan.

Spence, who spent the second half of last term with Ligue 1 outfit Rennes, joined Spurs last summer but has struggled for minutes in north London. Now, he has decided to make the temporary move to Elland Road in the hope of consistent game-time, with the Lilywhites now confirming the deal.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Djed Spence has joined Leeds United on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season. Having joined us from Middlesbrough in July, 2022, the right-back has made six appearances in our colours to date.
