Arsenal are stepping up their interest in Brentford striker Ivan Toney ahead of the January transfer window, according to a report from The Mirror. The Gunners are claimed to be interested in bolstering their forward ranks in the coming months, with the England international viewed as the ideal option.

The Bees are open to selling Toney in the window, who is yet to play this season due to a ban for breaking betting regulations, with £60million the current valuation.

Aaron Ramsdale exit

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has backed Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to leave the club in January amid a competition for places in the squad. The England international has been first choice for most of his tenure at the Emirates Stadium, having joined from Sheffield United for roughly £30million.

However, the signing of David Raya from Brentford has seen Ramsdale slip down the pecking order at this stage, with a new first-choice goalkeeper seemingly decided upon.
