Mudryk injury boost

Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk looked to have suffered a calf injury in Ukraine's Euro 2024 qualifier against England.

The 22-year-old endured a tough outing against Manchester City's Kyle Walker with the final duel between the two ending with Mudryk on the deck clutching his calf and Walker running away with the ball.

Ahead of Ukraine facing Italy in a crunch qualifier, the availability of Mudryk appears to have been revealed with Chelsea also on notice ahead of facing Bournemouth in the Premier League this Sunday.

Lavia injury blow

Romeo Lavia will have to wait a bit longer to make his Chelsea debut after the diagnosis of his ankle injury was revealed.

The teenager, signed from Southampton in the summer, had been training individually to build his match fitness, but after joining group training last week suffered a significant setback.

According to a new report by the Mail, Chelsea fear he could miss up to six weeks with the early indications showing ligament damage. Mauricio Pochettino had hoped to slowly integrate Lavia into the squad during and following the international break but those plans look to have been altered.

Sesko interest

Chelsea look to be keeping tabs on a number of strikers ahead of the January transfer window with RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko on their shortlist despite the fact he only moved to the German club this past summer.

Ivan Toney, Taiwo Awoniyi and Ollie Watkins have also been of interest to the Blues in the past with the trio likely to having tabs kept on them.

Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku were both brought to the club in the summer, but an injury to the latter looks to have resulted in Mauricio Pochettino entering the market for another forward.
