North London Derby warning

Ian Wright has told Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta he should be wary of Tottenham attacker Richarlison in the North London Derby this weekend. Ange Postecoglou had chosen to use Richarlison at the tip of his attack in place of Harry Kane for three league games until a slight knock saw Son Heung-min utilised centrally where he scored a hat-trick against Burnley.

After going several games without a league goal, after he scored in the Carabao Cup against Fulham Richarlison played a crucial role in the comeback win over Sheffield United. Since his £60million transfer from Everton, the 26-year-old has struggled for consistency but Wright has revealed this could be a huge turning point with a major warning to Arsenal.

Saka injury claim

Arsenal hero Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka for his Champions League debut performance against PSV while also expressing his concern an injury may strike soon. The 22-year-old scored the opening goal after just eight minutes before assisting Leandro Trossard moments later to provide the Gunners with the perfect platform to go on and win the game 4-0.

With over 10,000 minutes played in the Premier League already, supporters would have been glad to see Saka's number held up on the substitutes board in the 69th minute. Nonetheless, Henry is still concerned about the number of minutes the Hale End grad is playing, especially with the firm treatment he usually gets from the opposition.

Double injury update

Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey will miss the North London Derby against Tottenham this weekend through injury. The midfielder picked up a groin injury in training just before the international break which saw him miss the clash against Manchester United and his absence from the team will increase following Arteta's update.

However, Gabriel Martinelli could make an appearance this Sunday at Emirates Stadium, despite going off with a hamstring issue last weekend against Everton. "With Gaby we are still assessing him and so let’s see whether he can make the game or not," he said while providing a general squad fitness update.

"Thomas for sure is out. And the rest hopefully available, we still have two training sessions but there were no big issues in mid week." Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko both started in mid-week having returned from injury in recent weeks and it looks as though neither has suffered a setback ahead of the weekend.
