How Ange Postecoglou will deal with Tottenham injury woes as new options emerge

Tottenham Hotspur had another name added to Ange Postecoglou's lengthening injury list this week with Manor Solomon's knee problem.

The Israel international is set to miss a chunk of the season after undergoing surgery on Thursday to repair the meniscus in his knee after suffering a freak injury during an innocuous moment in training at Hotspur Way on Tuesday. football.london understands it is not the same knee Solomon injured last season while at Fulham but he is set for a spell on the sidelines as he recovers.

The left winger has impressed since arriving at the club and Postecoglou will have to deal with another missing member of his attacking options, having already lost Ivan Perisic for what Spurs stated is the remainder of the season.

There has been at least some good news on the injury front with Bryan Gil back in training following his groin surgery and Brennan Johnson is expected to be back from his hamstring strain after the international break. Postecoglou could also look at youngsters sich as Alejo Veliz, Jamie Donley and Yago Santiago in the months ahead.

It has been another week dominated by talk of Tottenham's victory against Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp calling for a replay of the match after the VAR mistake which wrongly ruled out a Luis Diaz effort for the 10-man visitors in the first half.
