Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and the players Arsenal could save millions on

With contracts running down, cut-price transfer deals could be on the cards for Arsenal next summer

Arsenal enjoyed a fruitful summer transfer window - which saw them bag a number of high-profile additions.

Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber all arrived for substantial sums as Mikel Arteta looked to add some additional quality to a squad that rivalled Manchester City for the Premier League title last season. Arteta will no doubt look to continue the process of evolving his squad next summer as they look to continue battling for silverware, with the Gunners' rivals also set to strengthen in what is sure to be another hectic transfer window.

Depth will be key too, particularly with Arsenal looking to compete on multiple fronts with domestic and European honours on their radar. Transfer plans will currently be being drawn up and further additions are expected - but could next summer see Arsenal target some cut-price deals?

With Financial Fair Play always a consideration for England's elite clubs, the prospect of striking deals for players who are entering the final year of their contracts next summer - leaving their current clubs with less room to negotiate - could prove a tempting proposition for Arsenal.

And there are a host of players who could prove appealing in a variety of positions, with talks over new deals at their current clubs yet to result in pen being put to paper on fresh terms.

Here, football.London looks at six players entering the final stages of their contracts that could appeal to Arteta, sporting director Edu and the club's transfer team next summer:
