Tottenham are interested in signing Manchester City holding midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to 90Min. Phillips has struggled for game time ever since joining Pep Guardiola's side a little over a year ago and it is claimed that both Spurs and Bayern Munich are amongst a host of clubs keen on the England international.

West Ham United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also said to be monitoring the former Leeds United star's situation at the Etihad Stadium.

Romero's injury admission

Tottenham defender Cristian Romero has revealed that he left the pitch early during Argentina's victory over Peru due to a knock to his right ankle Speaking to Argentine publication La Voz (via Sport Witness ), the 25-year-old admitted that his ankle had swollen and revealed why he was taken off the field.

“That’s why I decided to come out at half-time, as we also have an important home game with Tottenham Hotspur on Monday against Fulham," he explained. "But this is a team of animals (Argentina) and whoever comes in is sure to be a cracker."

Waddle return

Former Spurs winger Chris Waddle has been tipped for a remarkable return to football. The 62-year-old reportedly could be set for an unlikely return to the pitch.

Journalist Alan Biggs took to social media on Tuesday evening and stated that there is a ‘strong possibility’ of Waddle signing up for a second stint with Hallam, who play in the ninth-tier Northern Counties East League Premier Division. The club are said to be suffering an injury crisis, having been forced to finish their latest game with 10 men.
