Tottenham set for Eric Dier transfer bid as Howard Webb explains huge VAR change

The international break is here and Tottenham are top of the Premier League, showing the complete turnaround under new boss Ange Postecoglou. Six wins and two draws have seen an impressive Spurs side show a new lease of life, winning over fans and neutrals alike.

While there are two-weeks off for the Lilywhites now, there will be a number of stars jetting off to represent their nations around the world. There's still been plenty going on though, from transfer rumours to new discussions surrounding the VAR decisions for Tottenham.

Eric Dier transfer exit

Sporting CP have been showing interest in a potential return for Tottenham defender Eric Dier in the January transfer window, reports The Times. The 29-year-old has fallen out of favour at the club under Ange Postecoglou, having been left out of the squad since his arrival.

Dier signed for Spurs from Sporting CP, with an offer lined up for a cut-priced deal in January or even a free transfer come next summer.

VAR response

Howard Webb has responded to Liverpool star Luis Diaz's disallowed goal vs Tottenham after VAR made an error in ruling the goal out for offside. The Premier League released the audio from the VAR room from the incident which highlighted the miscommunication between match officials as to what the actual decision was on the pitch - leading to the significant error.
