Welcome to football.london's live coverage of Mauricio Pochettino's press conference. The Blues boss is set to speak following Chelsea's progression into the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.
The west London side were able to score a goal either side of half time to ensure they defeated Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night to get back to winning ways. Goals from Benoit Badiashile and Raheem Sterling earned their route into the final eight of the competition.
The Blues will have felt both hard done by and fortunate as referee Tim Robinson did not award penalties when Sterling was taken down or when Conor Gallagher handled the ball in his own box. VAR is not used at this stage of the competition so could not intervene to rectify either decision.
It was a relatively comfortable win with Badiashile and Reece James making positive first starts following long term injuries, something Pochettino will no doubt take pleasure in.
