Getafe have already publicly stated their interest in keeping Greenwood beyond this season after scoring three goals and registering four assists in the league this season.
"We had a video conference a few days ago [with Manchester United]," Getafe president Angel Torres said in December. "Almost every month we talk to see how he is. The boy is super happy. Now he is there, in England. The family too. They know we are interested in him staying one more year and I think we are on the right track."
While his improved form in recent weeks has also encouraged links to both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid as United could field offers for the 22-year-old this month.
