Man Utd team news: Predicted XI vs Everton after exciting updates on three players

[ NEW BOARD GAME ]

Goalkeeper - Onana

Andre Onana has been one of the Dutchman's best players in 2024 and is hunting down the Premier League Golden Glove in his maiden season.

He kept one of his seven league clean sheets - two behind leader David Raya - in the reverse fixture, a 3-0 win at Goodison Park.

Defence - Dalot, Varane, Evans, Lindelof

Ten Hag has confirmed that his squad remains the same as for last Sunday's 3-1 derby defeat at Manchester City, apart from fresh injury absentee Omari Forson.

He added that Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire are set to return for next weekend's FA Cup clash with Liverpool, along with Rasmus Hojlund.

It should leave United with an unchanged defence, featuring Diogo Dalot at right-back and Victor Lindelof as a makeshift left-back.

Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans led a commendable effort to shut out City's inevitable attacking might at the Etihad Stadium. They should start together again.

Midfield - Casemiro, Mainoo, Fernandes

Scott McTominay was Ten Hag's tactical answer in his attempt to prevent City from doing the Premier League double over United, and he played a role in Marcus Rashford's opener.

But the Red Devils boss will have his preferred midfield three in mind, and he will know he must take a more attacking approach at home to Everton.

Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo are likely to partner up again, with captain Bruno Fernandes ahead of the duo.

Fernandes must be careful, though. He is two yellow cards away from a two-game suspension, and Chelsea and Liverpool are on the league agenda at the start of next month.

Attack - Antony, Garnacho, Rashford

Antony dropped to the bench against City, but it would be a surprise to see Ten Hag opt for four midfielders again with lesser opposition visiting Old Trafford.

The Brazilian winger was arguably United's best attacker in last week's FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest, but he is still searching for his first league goal involvement of the season.

Alejandro Garnacho would start on the left if Antony returns to the side, with Rashford leading the line.

The United No 10. scored his sixth goal of the season incredibly to break the deadlock in the derby. He must use that to start a wave of goalscoring momentum until the end of the campaign and beyond.
