First picture of woman killed in horrifying triple shooting in London

A woman killed following a shooting in London on Saturday has been named as 46-year-old Michelle Sadio.

The incident in Gifford Road, Brent, also left two men, both in their 30s, injured. One of them remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Officers rushed to the scene on 9.15pm, along with the London Ambulance Service. Ms Sadio was found with serious injuries before being pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.

While formal identification is yet to take place, police say they are confident the victim is Ms Sadio, and that her family is being supported by specialist officers.

Superintendent Tony Josephs, from The Metropolitan Police's North West Command Unit, which covers Brent, said: "This is a truly shocking incident that has left a woman dead and two others injured, and I understand the concern this will cause the local community and those across London.

"I want to reassure people that a team of experienced detectives are already working at pace to piece together the events of last night and identify whoever was responsible for this heinous act of violence."

"If you were in or around Gifford Road at the time of the shooting, or have any information about who was responsible, please get in contact with us.

"A family has been left devastated and we need to work together to provide them with answers," he added.

Police have made no arrests as investigations continue.

A neighbour who didn't wish to be named told Sky News: "I was just sitting at home watching TV and I heard six or seven loud bangs. I came out and heard people screaming.

"It was chaos. There was a woman lying in the road not moving. There was another man who was hopping on one leg - it looked like he was shot in the foot or leg."

Another said: "We've lived here for more than 20 years and it's never been as bad as it is now. We hear about shootings and stabbings all the time around here.

"All this violence makes it miserable for people who live here," they said, adding: "I just wish it would stop."

Road closures remain in place around the scene as officers continue to gather evidence following the shooting, the force said.
