GB News star loses it as taxpayers forced to pay huge sum for 'mental' net zero goal
GB News presenter Patrick Christys launched into a furious tirade as he explained the “mental” changes Brits could face by 2050.
During Wednesday’s visit (Febuary 26) to the evening news programme, the 33-year-old broadcaster welcomed viewers back to his late-night news programme where he discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines.
This included the news that BP is set to cut its renewable energy investments and reports that Ukraine and the US have agreed to terms that would close a crucial mineral deal between the two countries.
But arguably the biggest story on everyone’s lips is the new proposals set out by the government to achieve a net zero target by 2050.
The new Build Back Greener policy and proposals detail all the ways the country is planning to decarbonise all sectors of the UK economy to meet this target in the next 25 years.
And it’s fair to say these initiatives will mean big changes for Brits, as the TV presenter listed some of the “mental” ways the UK will need to change to meet this goal.
He warned: “This government is obsessed with net zero, your bills are going up again. So, according to the climate change commission, the independent advises to the government on how it might meet its net zero target by 2050, here’s all the mental things you’ll have to do. Spoiler alert, it might not still be enough".
The TV star went on to share some of the changes residents could face over the next two decades. Partrick explained: "Spend £15,000 installing a heat pum. Half of homes will need one by 2040 and tax payers will pay for £7,500 for every one that’s installed.
"Cows must be stopped from farting. They'll either be fed stuff that will stop them tooting, genetically engineered not to trump or farmers will have to pay a fart tax like they already do in Denmark.
