At the end of season two, Carrie's lover Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) departed New York City to return to Virginia to be there for his son Wyatt after he asked her to wait five years for them to be together.

One of the new additions is comedian Rosie O'Donnell.

The 62-year-old actress is set to play a new character called Mary.

Rosie revealed the news on Instagram in May by posting a photo of the script, which she captioned: 'Here comes mary #andjustlikethat @hbo. (sic)'

The script she posted revealed Rosie will appear in the third season's premiere, titled 'Outlook Good'.

Miranda came out as queer during the first season of 'And Just Like That...'.

Reports surfaced Sara would no longer be on the show after speculation the non-binary actor had been fired after sharing pro-Palestinian Instagram posts.

They said at the time: 'While they give awards away, casting directors and agents are making blacklists of actors and workers who post anything in support of Palestinians in Gaza to ensure they will not work again.

'While they lift up some of their own clients who have spoken up against this genocide, they are firing and letting others who have smaller platforms go.

'It's wild how performative so many in Hollywood are. Even more performative than the last character I played.'

Despite the reports over her sacking, production sources told the Daily Mail the controversial character was always supposed to exit the show after its first two runs.

SARAH JESSICA PARKER'S MET GALA LOOKS OVER THE YEARS

By Heidi Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker has been a staple at the Met Gala for years as she has gone out of her way to dazzle at the incredible event that has grown more and more popular over the years.

Incredibly for the Sex And The City star's glowing debut in 1995 she wore a black gown she picked up at a thrift store.

The next time she attended, 11 years later, she had one of the most talented men in fashion, Alexander McQueen, spruce her up in a tartan wrapped dress. She went on to wear Oscar de la Renta and Valentino in subsequent years, and even modeled a few eye-popping head pieces along the way.

All these moves have helped cement her as one of the most brilliant women on the red carpet at the Met Gala.

Take a look at the And Just Like That... star's choices.

1995 - THRIFT STORE

In 1995 she had starred in films like Hocus Pocus and Miami Rhapsody but had not yet earned her crown as a fashionista by playing Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex And The City series.

So when the perky blonde from New York was asked to the Met Gala, she did not have designers clamoring to dress her.

Parker was clever and went to a thrift store to pick out a simple yet stylish black gown. She also did her own hair and makeup. The result? A Holly Golightly for the modern ages.

The theme was Haute Couture.

2006 - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

It had been 11 years since her debut and she was ready to be properly decked out.

The wife of Matthew Broderick chose to have Alexander McQueen do her up in a beige dress that had a tartan sash.

The TV vet told Vogue she was worried all night: 'It wasn't a fun night. Like, it was, but it wasn't because I was so nervous.'

The theme was AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion.

2010 - HALSTON

It was more of a Hollywood Golden Age glamour look in 2010 as she let the  iconic Halston fashion house dress her.

The gown was golden and shimmery, making her look every inch the box office movie queen she had become thanks to hits such as The First Wives Club and Failure To Launch.

A cloth flower in her hair added pizzazz as did her stacks of diamond bracelets.

The theme was American Women: Fashioning a National Identity.

2011 - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

Alexander McQueen had died the year before in 2010 and the Met Gala was honoring him.

Parker wore one of his creations: a beige beaded gown with a cowl neck and long sleeves.

The fashion expert told Vogue she would not normally choose a dress like this but did it for pal McQueen.

The theme was Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.

2012 - VALENTINO

Parker was radiant in her taffeta floral print Valentino gown that had a high neckline, long sleeves and went to the floor.

The heels were nicely in the exact same fabric.

Parker opted for romantic glam with long wavy hair and glossy makeup.

The theme was Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.

2013 - GILES DEACON

The comedic genius went with a pink, gold and black Giles Deacon dress.

'I should not pick favorites and I'm not going to say that it's my favorite, but it's pretty close,' she told Vogue.

Her stunning headpiece was designed by renowned milliner Philip Treacy.

And she added over-the-knee boots for a modern spin on the ballgown.

The theme was Punk: From Chaos to Couture.

2014 - OSCAR DE LA RENTA

Parker was the princess of the night in her Oscar de la Renta ballgown.

It had a satin black bodice and full cream colored skirt with the name of fashion house written in red cursive on the back so no one could miss it.

The cover girl added long cream opera gloves for added drama with a flower in her updo.

The theme was Charles James: Beyond Fashion.

2015 - H&M

Sarah worked on this one-shoulder black gown as part of a collaboration with H&M.

Her massive red dragon headpiece was by Philip Treacy and the black lace boots were part of her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker collection.

The theme was China: Through the Looking Glass.

2016 - MONSE

The star shocked her fans by wearing a cream colored button down coat and Capri pants with green pumps.

She would explain she was inspired by the musical Hamilton from Lin-Manuel Miranda.

'We didn't want it to be about the electronic screen or something that could turn on and off. We wanted it to be about the technology of thought, of application, of fabrication. The technology of the hand and the machine,' she wrote in T Magazine.

The theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.

2016 - MONSE

2018 - DOLCE & GABBANA

Parker went for an extravagant gold gown with ruby red hearts by Dolce & Gabbana.

And again she had a marvelous headpiece to add 10 inches to her petite frame.

She told Vogue, 'You just do it. You're going to the Met, you know what I mean? It's not taxing.'

The theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
