Cardiff is 'bedlam already', fans tell MailOnline ahead of stunning Oasis reunion
By Eirian Prosser at the Principality Stadium
The scenes in Cardiff this afternoon were described we ‘bedlam already’ as hundreds of fans gathered in pubs near the stadium for impromptu sing-alongs.
Matt Stone, 29, made the scramble from Newfoundland in Canada to Wales this week after securing last minute tickets online.
He told MailOnline: ‘For as long as I can remember I have always been a fan. And then the first time I saw a Liam gig live it really blew my mind, it was completely over the top.
'I honestly didn’t believe it for the longest time [when they announced the tour]. When they first put the dates up I started to believe a little bit but I’m not going to believe entirely until it actually happens and they’re on stage.
‘Tickets for us was a long story. We had some from a promoter but they fell through last minute and we were able to get some thankfully a couple of days ago.
‘It worked out well. I’m from Canada so I came from Canada for the gig. As long as we got tickets we were definitely going for go. So as soon as we got them we booked our flights here.’
Longtime fan Matt Walker, 44, from Peterborough was initially sceptical about the reunion.
He said: ‘I am a massive Oasis fan. I have seen them too many times that I can’t even remember.
‘But I wasn’t that keen first when they announced their reunion because I’m a big believer in letting things lie and just leave things be. But look at this place it’s like bedlam already and it’s only lunchtime. It’s going to go off.
‘I am most looking forward to the atmosphere and really seeing them on stage as brothers. That’s it.
‘We paid £455 each for VIP tickets and I could only get these tickets because Ticketmaster decided I was a bot so they barred me.'

Inside Oasis's last gig in Paris before EXPLOSIVE break-up in 2009
Oasis's long hiatus can be traced to an extraordinary behind-the-scenes brawl between the Gallaghers at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on August 28, 2009.
Just before they were due on stage, founding brothers Noel and Liam traded blows in a vicious fight which saw Liam smash Noel's guitar after hearing he was quitting.
Medical staff and security were called, and Noel confirmed the gig was off - which marked the official end of Oasis who at that point had sold 50million records.

When did Oasis last play Cardiff?
It was perhaps a surprising choice for Liam and Noel Gallagher to play Cardiff upon their extraordinary return, but Liam addressed this in May by saying it was because the Welsh capital was the b****x.
However, the last time the brothers took to the stage at the Principality Stadium (or the Milennium as it was then known), tensions were at their highest.
Despite this, their gig on June 12, 2009, still received good reviews by local outlets as they electrified a crowd of 70,000.
Here was their set list on the night:
Rock 'n' Roll Star
Lyla
The Shock of the Lightning
Cigarettes & Alcohol
Roll With It

WATCH: Fans scramble to get Oasis tickets last summer
A look back at the dynamic pricing fiasco
Oasis hit out at Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing system in September last year after their ticket sale was mired in controversy.
However, screenshots from the Ticketmaster website offering In Demand standing tickets being listed for hundreds of pounds each.
Oasis said of Saturday's chaotic ticket sale: 'As for the well reported complaints many buyers had over the operation of dynamic ticketing: it needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.'
The band announced they would be doing two more shows, with tickets allocated using a ballot system.

For more than a year, Tom Ceze lovingly tended to the bougainvilleas and citrus trees in the grounds of Liam Gallagher's spectacular hideaway home on the French Riviera.
The professional gardener seemed to get on well with the Oasis singer who hired him personally and would often encourage him to break off from his horticultural endeavours and join him for a coffee or a cold beer.
But he says their relationship ended on a sour note when he received a call out of the blue - telling him he was being given the chop.

Oasis fan gutted after tickets deemed invalid due to mistake by seller
An Oasis fan is gutted after her tickets were deemed invalid because the reseller sold them twice.
Beth North, 31, spent £730 on four tickets for tomorrow's Principality Stadium gig in Cardiff, Wales, via the official ticket reselling website Twickets on June 27.
And just five days before the gig, she went onto the app to download them into her digital wallet - only to find they had been revoked.
The reseller had listed the same four tickets for sale twice - after a delayed response from the first buyer.
They told Beth the tickets were awarded to the first buyer, who wasn't her, after they were downloaded by the first buyer.
She's still awaiting a refund and has had to fork out another £480 for two tickets to the June 30 gig at the same venue via Ticketmaster.
Richard Davies, founder of Twickets, said: 'We're really sorry to hear about Bethany's experience and completely understand how disappointing this must have been.
'As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we issued a full refund on 1st July, and this normally takes 2-3 days to transfer.
'We advised her to keep checking the platform, as we know from experience that more tickets often appear closer to the event date.'
Oasis superfan camping out overnight for front row spot to show band tattoo of Liam's face
An Oasis superfan who has been to over 40 gigs and spent £14,500 on memorabilia has said he will be camping out before a Wembley performance to show Liam Gallagher a tattoo of his face.
John Smallbones, 50, a window surveyor from Andover, Hampshire, has been a fan of the band since 1992 and said he will be sleeping out the night before the July 26 concert in his van, which is Oasis themed.
He is hoping to meet Liam, his favourite Gallagher, to tell him that he is not 'just a random fan'.
Describing what he would say if confronted with his idol, whose face he has tattooed on his back, he said: 'A lot of people meet him. Obviously they are fans but they probably don't have what I've got.'
WATCH: Oasis combine for first pictures since announcing tour
Meg Mathews proved she is still Noel Gallagher's top fan as she confirmed she will attend Oasis' reunion tour and posted more loved-up snaps with her ex-husband.
The columnist, 59, famously wed the rocker, 58, in June 1997 in Las Vegas, but they were together for just four years before they went their separate ways and divorced.
Meg was forced to deny she had rekindled things with Noel - who she shares her daughter Anaïs, 25, with - this week when she flooded her Instagram with loved-up snaps of them ahead of Oasis' reunion tour.
But Meg hasn't let the rumours get in the way of her countdown as she continued to share more PDA-filled snaps with Noel in the days before Oasis' first show at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday night.

Fearful residents are demanding a dress code as 340,000 Oasis fans are due to flood their streets ahead of five concerts later this month.
Locals living near Heaton Park, Manchester, says they are concerned about nudity, drunken behaviour and people peeing in their gardens during the sell-out gigs.
The park's neighbours say they've even been given temporary fencing to place in front of the houses to defend themselves from hordes of concert-goers.
What was the controversy surrounding tickets for the tour?
The launch of Oasis's reunion tour last year was plagued by controversy surrounding Ticketmaster.
Website issues and a controversial dynamic pricing system brought outrage, with many fans failing to secure a spot.
After tickets for the UK and Ireland shows went on sale last year, some standard tickets appeared to have jumped from £148 to £355.
The controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing.
