Janette Manrara, known for her role on Strictly Come Dancing, has reassured fans she'll be 'back soon' after having to withdraw from her current stage role due to a double health setback.
The presenter and professional dancer made her theatre debut earlier this year, stepping into the iconic shoes of Roxie Hart in the touring musical, Chicago.
However, during her recent visit to Blackpool with the show, the BBC star, who celebrated her anniversary Aljaz this year, was struck down with ill health that forced her to miss several performances.
Later, she shared snapshots from her stay in the seaside town, including one revealing the severity of her eye infection.
Alongside the post, she wrote at the time: "Blackpool last week was a mix of fun, sun, and frustration all at the same time. When I didn't have conjunctivitis, the rest of it was really lovely!
"Saw my girlfriends, learned a few bits about @lindajohnpierre, enjoyed the views of the tower and seaside, and had a great few shows. The last photo... the bit of the week that was not so fun! Haha! But all much better now. See you soon Blackpool!"
She managed to return to the stage but then found herself sidelined once again over the weekend, reports The Manchester Evening News.
Taking to Instagram, the former Strictly Come Dancing pro confirmed she'd had to undergo emergency dental surgery and shared pictures showing one of her cheeks swollen to twice its normal size.
It was then on Saturday (August 2), that Janette shared her update.
Sharing a picture she'd captured of her mother and her daughter, Lyra Rose, sitting together on a bench in the countryside, she said: "Nothing like some food for the soul. Grandma and Lyra Rose.
"Slowly recovering but some fresh air w/ my mom and Lyra was exactly the medicine I needed. Thank you for all the get well wishes."
Janette has since provided a further update as she posted on her Instagram Story on Monday (August 4): "On the mend. Anti-biotics, pain killers, cuddles a/Lyra. Will be back soon."
This followed Janette thrilling fans by posting a video of her visit, with Lyra, to see the Strictly pros in rehearsals as they prepare for the 2025 series of the beloved BBC One dance show.
Back in April the BBC announced the professional line-up for the upcoming series of the popular dance programme. Alongside Janette's husband Aljaz Skorjanec, Amy Dowden, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Gorka Marquez and Luba Mushtuk will all return to the dance floor.
They will also be accompanied by Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Dianne Buswell, Nancy Xu, Kai Widdrington, Michelle Tsiakkas, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Nikita Kuzmin and Vito Coppola.
The broadcaster also announced that two fresh professional dancers will be joining the programme and the newcomers have since been unveiled as So You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr and Australia's Dancing With The Stars' Julian Caillon.
Strictly Come Dancing is set to air later this year on BBC One.
