It appears Channel 5's Dan Walker faces a daunting challenge ahead in a fresh instalment of his programme alongside fellow Strictly Come Dancing sensation Helen Skelton.

The pair have reunited once more for a second series of their cherished show, Yorkshire Great and Small, which broadcasts on Thursday evening (September 18).

Dan and Helen, who recently opened up about her Strictly experience, are poised to discover the untamed splendour of the North York Moors yet again, encountering various individuals throughout their journey and immersing themselves in particular activities.

One such endeavour involves milking cattle at a farm, something that proves more difficult than anticipated.

In a sneak peek posted on Daisybeck Studios' Instagram, audiences witness Dan diving headfirst into the role, reports Devon Live.

He explained to viewers: "Milking this many cattle takes time, Adam and Sam can take three hours in the morning and the same in the evening to get through them all."

With the cattle queued up, Dan receives instruction to grasp the apparatus and position it on the cow's teat to extract the milk.

Though it doesn't proceed as seamlessly as he anticipated.

In a voiceover, Dan remarked: "This really isn't as easy as they make it look!"

Following his successful attempt at milking the cow, he couldn't resist cracking a joke about his positioning.

He addressed the cow: "We have a deal here, no pooing while I'm here ok?!" Ultimately, everything appeared satisfactory, and he settled down with the farmers to sample some of the produce he had gathered.

Sampling the ice cream crafted from the farmer's milk, Dan commented: "So this is natural? Oh, that's awful."

Nevertheless, it's evident he was merely joking with the family as he immediately erupted into laughter before acknowledging how delicious it actually tasted.

A synopsis for the opening episode of the Channel 5 programme states: "Helen Skelton and Dan Walker explore the North York Moors, starting in Great Ayton - Captain Cook's boyhood village.

"After pit stops for buns and sweets, they hop on electric bikes and tackle the iconic Roseberry Topping. They also cycle the Cleveland Way to Cook's Monument, pausing for panoramic views and a candid conversation about his controversial legacy."

Next week, Channel 5 viewers will witness the duo journey from Pateley Bridge to Ripon in the second instalment.

Yorkshire Great and Small with Dan and Helen airs on September 18 on Channel 5 from 8pm.
