Jeremy Clarkson has delivered a major update regarding the fifth series of Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime Video, following a temporary halt on filming and the star making a statement about Diddly Squat Farm, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Posting on his Instagram profile, the television presenter and farmer shared an image of himself alongside his partner Lisa Hogan and the complete Diddly Squat Farm team, featuring Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland and Gerald Cooper.
He wrote beneath the photograph: "Season 5. It's a wrap," confirming that filming had concluded on the newest instalment of the popular programme.
The group was positioned around a campfire in a meadow and appeared cheerful, though Jeremy, 65, seemed weary.
Numerous Clarkson's Farm enthusiasts flocked to the comments area to express their views regarding the news.
One viewer commented: "I reckon they should continue until they have a perfect farming year - no covid, no drought, no floods, no bovine TB, no crop failures, no interference from West Oxfordshire District Council, etc. Surely it's gotta happen one year.....hasn't it?".
Another added: "This is the only show I want to see 20 seasons of."
A third playfully remarked: "Please just film all year round, have a spring/summer series, winter/spring series, yes I know your entitled to a private life but frankly I don't care could watch Lisa all day love that woman! [sic]."
Someone else penned: "I hope you never stop filming Clarksons Farm Jeremy, even when you're eighty-hundred and a million ten, it'll still be b****y brilliant. Hope to come and visit soon. Best wishes to you all [sic]."
Yet another observed: "Seriously amazing news guys! I know you must all work incredibly hard for this show, in all weathers but just know it is truly appreciated.
"I must have watched seasons 1-4 3 times over and read all the books twice so far.
"It's a combination of humour, education around farming and the beautiful cinematic shots of our glorious countryside that does it for me."
The season five conclusion follows Jeremy's earlier revelation that the cast and crew would be enjoying a well-earned break after completing five back-to-back seasons.
He previously revealed to The Times: "I'd do a sixth if there was a reason for doing it, like a b****y good story..
"Whatever happens we'll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out.
"We've been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest."
Therefore, it appears season five might be the final instalment for the time being at least.
Season four of Clarkson's Farm launched earlier this year and proved another massive success with viewers worldwide, becoming the most-watched series of the programme to date, according to Deadline.
Every episode of season four attracted an average audience of 4.4million, based on seven-day viewing figures from Barb and overnights.tv. Clarkson's Farm has also become one of the most-watched programmes on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
