Prime Vido star Jeremy Clarkson delighted fans with a charming update from Diddly Squat farm on social media today, with followers flocking to the comments section to express their good wishes.

The presenter of Clarkson's Farm, aged 65, has recently faced a few hurdles due to a TB outbreak at his Chipping Norton farm in Oxfordshire.

Nonetheless, the former Top Gear host was in high spirits today as he introduced a new addition on Instagram.

In front of his 9.5 million followers, he posted a photo of himself cradling a tiny golden puppy. He simply captioned the endearing snap: "Meet Margarey."

Fans swiftly took to the comments section to commend the adorable newcomer, with one remarking: "Nothing more beautiful than a puppy."

"So much cuteness," another commented while others labelled the puppy "so sweet" and a "little darling".

Our Farm in the Dales star Matt Baker also expressed admiration for the post, adding: "What a beauty."

"She is so cute!" another fan added, while another enthused: "Oh my heart....the fluff."

Other fans chimed in on the pup's unique name, noticing that Jeremy has decided to stick with his tradition of naming his dogs after Game of Thrones characters, reports Gloucestershire Live.

"Great name," one wrote, as another concurred: "Love the name.

"He does love his game of thrones names," one individual wrote with a laughing emoji, as another typed: "Awww she's adorable and her name is too.

"The Tyrell family always had good looks haha," one fan joked, referencing the popular George R. R. Martin series, while another queried: "Will there be a Joffrey too?"

Jeremy's other canine companions named after Game of Thrones characters include labradors Sansa and Arya.

Supporters expressed their joy at Jeremy's uplifting news, coming just a month after his heartbreaking revelation that one of their puppies, Mr Grey, passed away in August.

His partner Lisa Hogan posted a sorrowful video on Instagram, confirming: "Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land.

"Poor Mr Grey, I'm sorry darling," she continued, comforting the puppy's mother who sat with the rest of her litter.

Matt Baker is also a dog enthusiast and owns several at home including miniature long-haired dachshund Ivy, a Border Collie named Bob and a Cairn Terrier called Fergus.

He too experienced heartache earlier this year when his cherished pet Labrador Annie passed away, with the presenter sharing with fans: "I'm sure you'll agree the reason we all love our dogs so much is because the only time they break our hearts is when they leave us."

Clarkson’s Farm is available to watch on Prime Video and Matt Baker: Our Farm in the Dales is free to stream on the Channel 4 website.
