A GB News star has unleashed a scathing rant calling out Keir Starmer and his Labour government for being a "mockery". It comes as the presenter branded the "one in, one out" migrant returns deal with France as "one of the worst negotiated deals in British history".
In a lengthy tirade, Alex Armstrong ripped into the government as he held nothing back. He shared that this week there had been "1,000 in and three out" of the UK after the scheme finally kicked off, and the Labour party were celebratory - despite them deporting "less than a small car's worth of people". The reporter added: "The harsh reality began to sink in across the country that this partial returns deal was dead on arrival. It's got to be one of the worst negotiated deals in British history." Alex then pointed out that France have "veto rights" and can decline having any migrants returning that they don't want there, including those with criminal records. "What message do you think that sends?" asked Alex.
His rant then turned to Keir Starmer making a deal with India as he pointed out that one of the first deportees was an Indian. He questioned: "Keir, why didn't you force them to take back their illegal migrants as part of the deal?"
The host then said that Britain is "too weak and crippled by law" to deport anyone properly while still allowing more migrants into the country.
He then went on a tangent about how much the whole migrant crisis could be costing the British tax payers saying that it's probably cost "millions of pounds" for the France deal alone.
Alex summed up his complaints as he summed up how bad the deal was, pointing out that Britain seem to have the butt end of the agreement. He blasted: "What a farce. What a joke. We need this country to be run by serious people, not those who would rather make a mockery of it!"
Viewers had a very mixed reaction to the lengthy complaint. One wrote on X/Twitter: "Again, the billionaire-backed GBNews is openly attacking the British government under the guise of news - is this allowed @Ofcom??"
While another applauded the presenter, saying: "@alexharmstrong is spot on, again!"
