The ITV schedule has undergone a huge shake-up, with Loose Women being pulled off air for the remainder of the week. The hit daytime show aired on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in its usual 12.30pm slot, but will not be returning to TV screens on Thursday (11 September) and Friday (12 September), with both episodes having been cancelled by the broadcaster. At the end of Wednesday's (10 September) episode of Loose Women, host Christine Lampard and her co-stars, Coleen Nolan,Myleene Klass and Jane Moore bid farewell to fans.

Christine revealed the episode marked the final offering of Loose Women for the week, telling the audience and fans at home: "Thank you very much for your company in the studio here and thank you for watching. That is it for the week, we are off air for the horse racing. But, we're back next week! Back with Davina McCall, Stefan Dennis, Russell Watson, Corrie's Carl and Stormy Daniels joining us! Enjoy your week!"

Loose Women typically airs for one hour on weekdays with the chat show rounding off ITV's daytime schedule, which also features Good Morning Britain, This Morning and Lorraine.

However, on Thursday the programme will be replaced by ITV1's coverage of the first day of the St Leger Festival, live from Doncaster.

The coverage will be led by Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani, with analysis provided by Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan as well as reports from Matt Chapman and commentary by Richard Hoiles.

ITV1 will be taken over by the racing from 1pm until 4pm, meaning Loose Women's usual slot is filled.

Coverage of the second day of the festival will air on Friday at the same time, meaning the chat show will once again be cancelled.

Loose Women will return to TV screens on Monday, 15 September at 12.30pm.

Wednesday's Loose Women saw the panel discuss a wide variety of topics, including the menopause, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash's latest reality show, Prince Harry's recent return to the UK and the use of AI by school students.

The episode also featured an interview with Downton Abbey's Phyllis Logan ahead of the release of the franchise's final film. Coleen sat down with Phyllis to discuss her character and the show finally being over.

Loose Women usually airs on weekdays on ITV1 from 12.30pm.
