Set to hit the stage in February next year, the musical will open at Curve in Leicester before touring across the UK into 2027.

In a clip shared to Instagram on Thursday, Amber dressed head-to-toe in pink as she transformed into Elle, complete with beloved dog, Bruiser.

She most worked on new West End musical The Great Gatsby, which ran at the London Coliseum from April 16 to September 7, and brought F. Scott Fitzgerald's iconic story to life in dazzling style.

Responding to fan  support, Amber wrote: 'This response, obviously I am sobbing. This is a dream!!!! Thank you EVERYONE FOR EVERY MESSAGE EVERY COMMENT EVERY LIKE & REPOST. You lot are the BEST.'

'I am so overwhelmed with this response. I promise you Elle is in such safe hands with me. I'm so excited to be touring her. She's a dream role, you know.

'I'm so excited to tour her around the UK and Ireland. I'm so grateful, I'm speechless. I love you all so much and see you next year!'

Legally Blonde was released in 2001, with Reese as Elle Woods, Matthew Davis playing Warner Huntington III and Jennifer Coolidge as Paulette Bonafonte; Selma Blair and Victor Garber also starred in it.

It told the story of sorority girl Elle Woods, who decides to follow her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School.

While failing to be taken seriously by many of her peers, Elle buckles up, gains the respect of her classmates, wins a murder trial, and moves on from her ex.

Legally Blonde spawned several sequels and even a Tony-nominated Broadway musical.

Back in 2021 Reese opened up on social media about how the role has impacted her life.

Reese revealed she still has fans approaching her on a regular basis with stories of how her character Elle inspired them to pursue their dreams.

'It also completely opened me up to so many people in the world who come up to me, every week or every month, literally, and say, "Elle Woods inspired me to go to law school." "Elle Woods made me believe in myself."

'And, "I played Elle Woods in the school play!" So I really feel like I share Elle Woods with every single person that made this film, who I love so dearly, but also with all of you.'

'Playing Elle Woods was the role of a life time and I'm so honored to have been a part of sharing her story with you all,' she finished.

A highly anticipated third instalment of the iconic film is reportedly in the works according to IMDB and Good Morning America.

The project was slated to hit theatres in 2022 but has since been paused. No release date has been confirmed.
