Nadiya Bychkova has revealed she feared she had been left paralysed after suffering a horror fall during rehearsals for the new Strictly Come Dancing series.

The professional dancer, 36, was training in north London when she injured her back so badly that crew members were forced to call an ambulance.

And now in a new interview, the beauty admitted that she thought her career was over.

In images shared by the Mirror, Nadiya could be seen with her head strapped after the incident, while another captured her lying immobilised on a trolley in a hospital corridor.

She told the publication: 'I was incredibly worried because I couldn't feel my left leg and I was unable to move.'

The star continued: 'I was thinking it might be the end of my series or even my dancing career.

'I had time to think about everything and there were a lot of tears.'

Thankfully, Nadiya was able to make a full recovery ahead of the new BBC series.

Just days after the incident, Nadiya took to Instagram and shared a picture from her hospital as she updated fans on her injury - and revealed if she would be able to dance again soon.

She wrote: 'Well… where do I start? What a 24 hours! Thank you so much for all the messages, love and support. I just wanted you to know that I am ok.

'I had a fall in training yesterday and landed on my back. I was really worried for a while and I was so thankful to the Strictly family and medical team who really looked after me.

'The staff at the hospital were so kind and caring.'

Nadiya continued: 'I'm smiling in the picture but it was really scary and there were a few tears as I had to lie still for hours but I was given the all-clear after an x-ray and allowed to go home.

'I've got some physio today but I will be back on that dance floor soon and I'll be ready to shine and sparkle in the new series of the biggest show on TV.

It comes as the first trailer for this year's Strictly Come Dancing landed

'I can't wait for you to see it. Keep dancing!'

It comes as the first trailer for this year's Strictly Come Dancing landed - as head judge Shirley Ballas and the pros strip down to skimpy swimwear for an eye-popping poolside routine.

It's the annual sign that fans must kiss goodbye to summer as they get ready to cosy up to weekly episodes of the hit reality dance competition.

The 30-second clip sees Strictly's professional dancers and head judge Shirley enjoying one last burst of summer at a fabulous pool party, held in the grounds of a glamorous mansion.

The trailer gives an early taste of a sizzling full-length routine that will form part of Strictly's hotly-anticipated launch show, airing on Saturday September 20.

With bright colours, inflatable flamingos and barely-there swimwear, the party is in full swing.

And it soon turns into a dazzling group number, that will feature appearances from fellow Strictly judges Anton du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.

Fans will also see the debut of Strictly's brand new pros, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon, whose arrival makes a big splash.

Strictly Come Dancing: The Launch Show will reveal who this year’s 15 celebrities will be paired with, as they each come face-to-face with their pro dance partner in a series of specially-filmed, surprise-packed sequences.

The launch show will also feature a spectacular group dance where all 15 celebs and their partners take to the floor for the first time.
