Wednesday fans are questioning the main love story of season three, and it's not about Wednesday Addams and Tyler Galpin.

Wednesday has returned darker than ever with Jenna Ortega reprising her role as Wednesday Addams at Nevermore Academy, where more mysteries and family secrets unfold.

In the first series, a romance bloomed between her and Tyler Galpin (played by Hunter Doohan), who was later revealed to be the Hyde terrorising the school.

The first series also saw Enid Sinclair (portrayed by Emma Myers) fall for Ajax Petropolus (Georgie Farmer), only to start a relationship with fellow werewolf Bruno (Noah B Taylor) in the second season.

Netflix may have just released the second part of the second series, but fans are already predicting the next "it" couple they'll be rooting for in the third season.

Pugsley Addams (Isaac Ordonez), Wednesday's younger brother, joined Nevermore in the second series and initially struggled to make friends.

Newcomer and Wednesday superfan Agnes DeMille (Evie Templeton) was also introduced and immediately clashed with her idol and Enid.

She confessed to often feeling invisible, even when she wasn't using her powers, but eventually managed to get closer to both leading ladies of the show.

Netflix viewers are now predicting that these two socially awkward newcomers could start a romantic relationship in the third series.

Kicking off the discussion on Reddit, a user penned: "I tend to always have a ship that I know will never actually happen every time I watch a series and this happens to be one of mine in Wednesday [Agnes and Pugsley].

"I feel like they match each others 'weirdness' if that makes sense."

Echoing the theory, another user responded: "I had the same idea. There was a look that she gave him when he zapped Slurp that made a lightbulb go off in my head.

"Making herself an Addams and Wednesday's sister-in-law would be generational heel work from Agnes, I approve", chimed in a third.

Another fan took it a notch higher and speculated how their potential love story could unfold.

They expressed: "Pugsley initially thinks she's interested in him just because of Wednesday, which she is, at first, but then Agnes grows to genuinely like Pugsley for who he is."

A fellow enthusiast added: "Yeah they would make a good couple two weirdo one obsessed with Wednesday other is her sibling."

While an official release date hasn't been announced for the next series, it has now been confirmed that filming is expected to commence in November 2025, hinting at a possible 2026 return date.

Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
