The most treacherous game on television is back as the first ever season of Celebrity Traitors finally made its debut on BBC One.
Filmed against the backdrop of the stunning Scottish Highlands, Celebrity Traitors features 19 celebrities who will all be put through their paces by Claudia Winkleman.
As ever, in the first episode Claudia chose three contestants to be her Traitors, with the burden falling upon the shoulders of comedian Alan Carr, TV presenter Jonathan Ross and singer Cat Burns.
Speaking on being selected, Jonathan Ross described the experience as a "psychological challenge".
"I found it really wearing on me; the lying made me genuinely increasingly uncomfortable,” he explained on his Reel Talk with Honey & Jonathan Ross podcast.
"I am pleased I did it, an extraordinary experience, but I did not enjoy the duplicity as the game progressed. It’s a tougher psychological challenge than I expected is all. But I would never try to talk anyone out of it – just trying to give them a sense of what to expect."
