Celebrity Traitors has seemingly been confirmed for a second series.

A star-studded version of the popular BBC One programme will make its debut on Wednesday (October 8) night.

Kate Garraway, Alan Carr. Jonathan Ross, Charlotte Church, Cat Burns, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed and Tameka Empson have all signed up to take part.

Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie Ruth Codd, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Tom Daley and Niko Omilana complete the 2025 celebrity line-up.

However, This Morning regular and Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has revealed that he's been asked to appear in a second series of the celebrity version despite it not being confirmed by BBC bosses yet, reports the Daily Record.

After discussing the shows he's turned down, Martin explained: "I'vet turned down Traitors again because they're filming when my shows on. I'm more gutted about Traitors than Strictly to be honest."

This Morning presenter Ben Shephard pointed out: "Great to know you've confirmed series two of Traitors for us though."

A red-faced Martin asked: "Have I just done it?".

The host replied: "That's brilliant news if they've started to cast it already."

Martin continued: "I'm not contracted with them I said no so I've got absolutely no obligation. Yes they are casting the next Celebrity series two of Traitors.

"I have been asked I have said no so there you go you heard it here first."

Viewers are accustomed to witnessing Faithfuls and Traitors battling to triumph for themselves or their nearest and dearest, but the famous faces will engage in the ultimate contest of detection, betrayal and faith, hoping to secure a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choosing.

The programme will broadcast twice weekly, on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 9pm, with presenter Claudia Winkleman vowing it will test the celebrities to their limits.

Speaking before the debut series of Celebrity Traitors hits screens, Claudia revealed: "It's an absolute honour. I could barely breathe when I saw them all in the Highlands. I'm such a fan of every single one of them.

"The whole team were just in awe, it was hard not to scream 'you're here!'. When I talked to Stephen Fry I almost welled up. I told him 'this was my dream'.

"We're incredibly lucky to have the cast that we have. Each one of them is tremendous. It's absolutely nuts. Unhinged in taffeta was where we went."

Celebrity Traitors launches on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday, October 8 at 9pm and This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1 at 10am
