This is the moment taser-wielding police arrested an Afghan national after three people were stabbed in Uxbridge on Monday night.  CCTV footage from cameras on a resident's house captured the terrifying moment, showing two police cars speeding into the quiet road.

Ambulance crews and local police were called to the scene around 5pm last night, after three victims were allegedly attacked by an Afghan national with a knife. Local residents took to social media to ask what the commotion was, with one claiming the deceased was simply walking his dog.

A 45-year-old man survived but with life-changing injuries, and a 14-year-old boy was also injured.

A 22-year-old Afghan national was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, the Met police confirmed.

According to the Daily Mail, residents claimed a fight had broken out involving an Afghan national who was living in the 45-year-old's home as a lodger.

He is alleged to have chased two victims out of the home, with eye-witnesses saying a 49-year-old man who was walking his dog tried to intervene before being “slashed across the neck”.

Now CCTV footage has emerged which shows the alleged attacker walking down the road as two police cars round the corner, and officers stop to detain him.

Officers are seen running after the man, tasers raised before the attacker falls to the floor and is arrested.

Such a brutal attack has sent shockwaves through the local community.

A local told the Mail: “The dead man is very well known around here. He's a lovely guy, very gentle and peaceful. He was just trying to help and it's ended up costing him his life.”

Another witness claimed: “I saw a young man come running out of the house waving a large knife around. He had a mad look in his eyes and was screaming.”

The Mail reports that the Afghan has been living as a lodger in the 45-year-old man’s home for the past six months.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall said: "This was a shocking and senseless act of violence that has left one man dead and two others injured.

"Our thoughts are with the victim's family and friends at this unimaginably difficult time.

"The incident will have understandably caused concern to the local community. I have deployed multiple officers to the local area, they will be here throughout the week to provide reassurance while detectives work intensely to piece together the circumstances.
