Fans could soon smell like a Traitor as plans for a perfume and aftershave inspired by the hit BBC show are thought to be underway.

The Dutch production company behind The Traitors has reportedly filed trademarks to cash in on the series' global success with plans to release products including Eau du Traitor fragrance lines, toiletries, and even household cleaning items.

According to The Mirror, papers have been submitted to the UK's Intellectual Property Office by IDTV Film and Video Productions list a huge range of potential products from perfumes, aftershaves and soaps to cosmetics, sprays, gels and scented candles.

And it doesn't stop there the documents are thought to also cover food and drink, clothing, games and even Christmas tree lights branded under The Traitors name.

The cunning move comes as the hit format continues to dominate screens around the world, with three UK series already under its belt and a first-ever celebrity edition now airing.

The star-studded spin-off, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, launched this week with a staggering 6.1 million viewers tuning in.

Singer Paloma Faith became the first celebrity to be 'murdered' in the game, after Alan Carr sealed her fate in the dramatic 'poison chalice' twist.

Paloma has now dropped a series of clues that her friendship with Alan Carr is over after he betrayed her by 'murdering' her on the BBC show.

Alan and his fellow Traitors, talk show host Jonathan Ross and singer Cat Burns, were tasked with taking out one of their fellow famous faces.

Claudia, 53, explained they would have to touch someone else's face in order to 'poison' them with the pollen of a black lily that had been placed in Ardross Castle.

Stood in the kitchen alone, comedian Alan took his chance to place his thumb on Paloma's cheek as he told her she 'had a hair in her face'.

While Paloma survived the night, she was shockingly put into a coffin and carried away as part of a prize-building game the following day.

Now, the singer has dropped a series of hints she's not forgiven her long-standing pal for his 'gutting' betrayal - and that the drama has spilled over into real life.

As the show aired on Thursday evening, Paloma first reacted to the moment Alan 'killed' her, as a flashback scene played showing Alan touching her face.

After finding the perfect moment in the kitchen, he asked Paloma 'You've got a hair on your face' before subtly touching her face to adjust her hair

Taking to her Instagram stories, she shared a selfie video from the sofa as she simply said 'f***' to the camera, tagging Alan's account in the post.

She went on to post a photo of her sat by her own grave from the series, telling fans she was 'gutted' to be the first person to leave the series.

When one fan responded in the comments they thought that Alan 'was her friend', Paloma simply hit back: 'So did I'.

Another nail in the coffin came when Paloma was asked what her highlights of the show were as she waved goodbye to the castle for good - and left Alan out.

She told viewers: 'I liked feeling how physically competent I was with the Trojan horse. That was such a thrilling group achievement and hard work.

'Meeting people I’d never crossed paths with before: Celia is just an absolute dream, and I love, love Niko, he’s amazing.

'It was so nice to meet Cat as well. Ruth Codd was one of the funniest, most brilliant people I’ve met in a long time!'

Paloma didn't hold back in her thoughts about Alan in Traitors podcast, Uncloaked, either - saying she would 'not have done the same' to Alan if things had been the other way around.

The singer explained to host Ed Gamble: 'If the shoe was on the other foot, I would not have touched Alan’s face.

'Categorically, he had a choice – maybe it was the easiest option, but it was the choice he made and I don’t think it was very nice.

'I still maintain to this day that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn’t have done that. So I don’t think he should have done it to me and I’m surprised that he did.'

However, she hinted that she and Alan had spoken since the ordeal, explaining she 'found forgiveness quite an easy thing [to do] as a person'.

Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and iPlayer on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
